Please help.
How can one set VisualStudio to end debugging when the FireFox window closes?
This works for IE8 but not for FF3.6 now, using VisualStudio 2008 Standard on Windows XP Pro, all fully-patched.
I have set my default browser for VS debugging to FireFox, using >BrowseWith, >FireFox=Selected, >SetAsDefault.
That is fine, and FireFox is used for debugging by default, but it is a bit less than user-friendly.
For example, in IE, if I am running in debug mode, and I have a browser open with my web page in it, all is well, and if I close that IE window being debugged then the VisualStudio debugging also stops.
However, in FireFox, if I close the FireFox window being debugged, then the debugging in VisualStudio does not close.
Do you have any ideas?
Please advise.
(Sidebar -- Why don't I just use IE8? Well, recently, due to an unknown reason, IE started intermittently cannot connect to a page, any page, and then upon refresh in the browser the page loads. Really weird. It happens often enough, about every 5th page load or more, so it slows me way down. I think it might be a network issues but I need to move on in parallel.)
Thank you.
