Inexperienced dev. New ASP Web Forms sln and theme directory structure

Hi

I've just started the noob agony of learning ASP development after working for years in desktop environment.

I'm using VS 2012, on a webforms application. My only experience is reading/working through beginners ASP 4.5.

The context menu for the solution offers to create a standard ASP folder option for "App_Themes" directory off the root. Confusingly after using the webform app wizard in visual studio I see a folder called ~\Content\theme and the site.css file is at ~\Content.

Is there any particular reason why Visual Studio doesn't put it's wizard theme into the standard "App_Themes" folder? As I'm new to this it's confusing me. Moving these files across to app_themes seems to be messy and prone to mistakes but I want the folder structure to be correct right from the start.

What is the "Content" folder supposed to contain? To me content means the web pages, but VS wizard sticks many of those in the root folder. *baffled*
