Hi Guys,
first of all, I am sorry if this is not the right category where to ask this question, but I have zero experience with visual studio, asp.net and web development in general, and indeed I was already redirected to the asp.net forum from the visul studion one.
I have just downloaded visual studio express for web because I was suggested is the tool with the bigger community behind and with the most available support and therefore, is the most ideal if if you are new to web development and you need to ask questions. I need to create a dynamic website where people can register, insert their detail, log in and have the possibility to update their information and also upload some data without always passing through the webmaster (myself). I will also need to develop a private messaging system for users of the website to communicate between them.
As mentioned however, I have no experience at all in the field and I am basically here to ask you how to start doing it with visual studio. I guess I would need to learn some HTML which is fine and maybe other programming languages and also that I will need to develop a database. But first of all I wanted to ask you if you can address me to a free online tutorial which explains thoroughly the basic architecture of a dynamic website so that I can obtain a clear general picture of the steps that I need to make and the technical knowledge that I should obtain to create it. Of course, personal suggestions by all of you are more than welcome.
