I have just installed VS2012 ultimate at work, when I try to debug a project I keep getting an error:
"Unable to start debugging on the web server. The debugger cannot connect to the remote computer. The debugger was unable to resolve the specified computer name.
I have tried follwing the help to resolve the issue but it refers to windows firewall. As this is a work pc my windows firewall is switched off as we have a firewall on the network.
I tried setting /nofirewallwarn but this did not resolve the issue.
I am using VS2012 Ultimate, Windows 7 x64.
I'm not sure I have used remote debugger before and would happily just debug locally? if thats the correct term? Although I can see the benefit of being able to debug web apps for example against my test web server so it would be interesting to find out how to set this up.
Is there a requirement for different configuration as I write web and windows apps so not all would necessarily be debugged against the test web server.
Your help would be much appreciated.
