What would cause Windows Server 2012 to restart when trying to debug a VS 2013 solution?

So my hosting provider applied some security hot fixes/patches/updates or whatever to their XenServers which my 8 Server 2012 Development VMs run from.  Ever since these updates were applied, my development team can no longer debug our application in Visual Studio 2013 Ultimate (update 1 through 5 or VS 2015).  When a developer hits F5 the server immediately reboots.  There are no bug checks, dumps or blue screens and no warning or error messages in VS, just a straight reboot.

I don't know what exactly Im asking for from this community because it seems obvious to me that the issue is related to the XenServer Host updates.  The provider will not tell me what updates were applied because of *security* reasons so I cannot search for conflicts myself.  Their stance is they support up to the OS and since the OS runs fine (until I make it crash) it's not their problem.  So I guess I'm left with proving its their problem somehow.

I've created a snazzy Hello World console app and it exhibits the same problems - immediately system restart on the press of F5.  It's a full on restart, not just a crash or close of VS.

I'm not a developer or a visual studio knowledgeable person.  When a person hits F5 or clicks Start Debug in VS, what actually happens?  This seems like some kind of tamper-proof things at the kernel level or who knows where/what else but the process is touching *something* and that *something* is so unhappy about it that it says "screw it, I'll just restart the server."

I've disabled all anti-virus (saw several posts about Avast - we aren't using that but Ive disabled AV nonetheless and no change).  The only event in Windows Event Log is related to the unexpected reboot.  There is no bug check event immediately following it or any where else in the log which would indicate to me that Windows crashed and produced a dump but not the case!
