Tools->Options->Environment->Fonts and Colors->Brace Matching(Highlighting) and Brace Rectangle(Highlighting).
I've tried setting both of these options to colors that I can actually see, i.e., high constrast colors and not something I have to squint to see using the default settings in Visual Studio. This has worked in the past, although each time I have tried setting this up it seems it has been a pain. I want bright green LIME for my brace matching background colors so there is absolutely no question about the location of the matching brace in the C# source code files.
Can somebody give me some tips on how to do this?

A comment on the above blog post says that highlighting the background of brace matching was disabled. I have the same question as the comment poster. Why?
**EDIT**: I just checked another option. Yes, "Automatic Delimiter Highlighting" is checked under Tools->Options->Text Editor->General.
