Can I open a ASP.NET 2.0 web site (web forms) in VS2013?

Hi,

I'm currently working in VS2008 on ASP.NET 2.0 web site (as opposed to web application) projects.

Is VS2013 backward compatible such that I should be able to use it for these web site projects in their current forms (continuing to use the .NET Framework 2.0)? Or will I be forced to make updates to code/web.config/other to make it compatible with a newer version of ASP.NET immediately upon opening these projects in VS2013?
